Grüezi bag® sleeping bags offer the best sleeping comfort and functionality
Grüezi bag sleeping bags have received numerous awards for their excellent insulation and well-thought-out designs.
-
DownWool® - the better down: Unlike conventional down, DownWool® retains its insulating properties even in high humidity of up to 90%. This means DownWool® offers better thermal performance, even in cold, wet conditions.
-
Wider temperature range: DownWool® sleeping bags have a wider temperature range in which you feel comfortable. Wool balances out temperature fluctuations.
-
Drier sleeping environment: The blend of RDS-certified down and 30% wool from the Alps in DownWool® sleeping bags creates a dry, balanced sleeping environment. Wool effectively wicks away moisture and provides warmth even when damp.
-
Best sleep quality: longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night, all thanks to the wool content in the DownWool® insulation filling
-
Well-thought-out cut for optimal freedom of movement: The comfortable cut allows the body to assume a relaxed position, ensuring a peaceful, restful sleep. Even in the mummy shape, you can sleep more soundly, as you can turn around both on your side with your leg bent and within the sleeping bag.
-
Avoidance of cold bridges: Our slightly wider cut reduces unpleasant cold bridges caused by compressed insulation
-
Lightweight and small pack size: ultra-light, robust and recycled materials save weight .
-
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification: Grüezi bag® products are harmless to human health.
FEATURES
-
Pillow compartment: If you slide a fleece jacket, for example, into the pillow compartment, the sleeping bag has a non-slip pillow.
-
Adjustable hood with face baffle: The thermal baffle adapts perfectly to the shape of your head. When it's cold, only a small face hole remains open, thus reducing heat loss from the face.
-
3D thermal collar: Closes automatically in the zipper area, so there is no cold bridge in the zipper area.
-
Drawstring pocket: To ensure that the drawstring on the thermal collar does not get in the way, it is safely stored in a simple drawstring pocket.
-
Zipper:
-
Inside & outside pocket: For valuables and things you prefer to keep close to you.
-
Two-way auto-lock zipper: The zipper can be opened and closed from either end, inside or outside. The auto-lock prevents it from opening accidentally.
-
White zipper: So you can find the zipper more easily in the dark.
-
Zipper with anti-snag zipper and lined robust webbing: This makes the zipper even easier to operate without pinching the outer fabric.
-
Zipper with lined zipper cover so that heat cannot escape and no cold bridges are created.
-
Foot ventilation system: The innovative zipper design allows your feet to be comfortably placed on top of the sleeping bag and excess heat can escape.
-
Pre-shaped foot box: when lying down there is enough space in the sleeping bag to point your toes.
-
Feater loops: A warming hip bag with heating element (Feater - The Feet Heater) can be installed additionally.
-
Chamber construction: H-chambers, V-shaped (on the top), pre-shaped foot area with several chambers
-
Scope of delivery: sleeping bag, compression bag, storage bag.

What is DownWool®?
The special feature of this sleeping bag is its innovative insulation: In a DownWool® sleeping bag, you immediately feel a wide temperature comfort zone where it’s neither too cold nor too warm. Additionally, the insulation is naturally more resistant to high humidity.
This is achieved through a mechanical blend of 70% animal-welfare-certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps. This patented combination acts like a light and natural air conditioner.
Down: Excellent Insulation Performance
High-quality down insulates exceptionally well at a low weight. However, down clumps in high humidity (air, sweat, condensation) and loses its insulating properties. Grüezi bag solves this problem with the innovative DownWool® insulation.
Wool: Effective Moisture and Temperature Regulation
Thanks to the addition of wool in DownWool®, the down stays naturally drier and thus retains its insulating effect. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture through its capillaries and gradually release it to the outside.
DownWool® remains insulating up to 90% humidity. The wool fibers stand up when moist and even increase insulation loft by up to 30%, further improving the sleeping bag’s insulation.
DownWool® not only effectively regulates moisture but also body temperature. Wool prevents cooling evaporation chill and retains its warming properties even when wet, which no other material can do. Wool naturally creates a cozy and pleasant microclimate through its unique climate-regulating property.
The body needs a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process thanks to its excellent temperature-regulating characteristics.
Additionally, wool neutralizes unpleasant odors.
The result: excellent insulation and a wide temperature range in which you feel comfortable and sleep well. DownWool® is also less sensitive to moisture. This makes Grüezi bag’s DownWool® sleeping bags popular all-rounders.

Care Instructions
Washing
- The washing instructions are located in the sleeping bag’s inner pocket.
- The sleeping bag can be washed by hand or machine (wool cycle) at max. 30 °C/86 °F using a down detergent. Please turn inside out, close the zipper, run an extra rinse cycle, and do not use fabric softener.
- Remove from machine, gently fluff, and run another spin cycle at max. 600 rpm.
Drying
- Dry in a tumble dryer at max. 60 °C/140 °F with 2-3 tennis balls added to help fluff the insulation.
- Repeat drying cycles multiple times, removing the bag after each cycle to shake it out and let it cool between cycles.
- The dryer must be set to a timed program to fully dry the down.
- If no dryer is available, lay the sleeping bag on a drying rack on sunny days and shake frequently to allow air circulation from top and bottom.
When is drying complete?
If the bag has not regained its original loft, repeat drying cycles until it feels fuller and thicker than before.
Depending on the water resistance of the outer fabric, drying may take at least 2 days or vary by dryer model.
The down must be completely dry; otherwise, the feathers can clump and irreparably damage the sleeping bag.
You can tell it’s dry when it feels full and thick. Damp down may smell unpleasant, but this disappears after drying.
Tip
Down sleeping bags should be dried occasionally or after every trip with tennis balls in the dryer to remove excess moisture.
Store sleeping bags open and dry in the storage sack.
When packing into the compression sack, stuff the bag foot-first; do not roll or fold.
Better than washing is airing out a sleeping bag. DownWool® sleeping bags rarely need washing because wool naturally resists odors and dirt. For small stains, gently clean only the spot. Heavily soiled bags can be machine washed.
Every sleeping bag needs a sleeping pad underneath because the insulation compresses downward and cannot trap air or warmth. More info about choosing the right sleeping pad can be found here.
