Grüezi bag® sleeping bags offer the best sleeping comfort and functionality
Grüezi bag sleeping bags have received numerous awards for their excellent insulation and well-thought-out designs.
-
DownWool® - the better down: Unlike conventional down, DownWool® retains its insulating properties even in high humidity of up to 90%. This means DownWool® offers better thermal performance, even in cold, wet conditions.
-
Wider temperature range: DownWool® sleeping bags have a wider temperature range in which you feel comfortable. Wool balances out temperature fluctuations.
-
Drier sleeping environment: The blend of 70% animal welfare-certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps in DownWool® sleeping bags creates a dry, balanced sleeping environment. Wool effectively wicks away moisture and provides warmth even when damp.
-
Best sleep quality: longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night, all thanks to the wool content in the DownWool® insulation filling
-
Well-thought-out cut for optimal freedom of movement: The comfortable cut allows the body to assume a relaxed position, ensuring a peaceful, restful sleep. Even in the mummy shape, you can sleep more soundly, as you can turn around both on your side with your leg bent and within the sleeping bag.
-
Avoidance of cold bridges: Our slightly wider cut reduces unpleasant cold bridges caused by compressed insulation
-
Lightweight and small pack size: ultra-light, robust and recycled materials save weight .
-
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification: Grüezi bag® products are harmless to human health.
FEATURES
-
Pillow compartment: If you slide a fleece jacket, for example, into the pillow compartment, the sleeping bag has a non-slip pillow.
-
Adjustable hood with face baffle: The thermal baffle adapts perfectly to the shape of your head. When it's cold, only a small face hole remains open, thus reducing heat loss from the face.
-
3D thermal collar: Closes automatically in the zipper area, so there is no cold bridge in the zipper area.
-
Drawstring pocket: To ensure that the drawstring on the thermal collar does not get in the way, it is safely stored in a simple drawstring pocket.
-
Inside & outside pocket: For valuables and things you prefer to keep close to you.
-
Zipper
-
Two-way auto-lock zipper: The zipper can be opened and closed from either end, inside or outside. The auto-lock prevents it from opening accidentally.
-
White zipper: So you can find the zipper more easily in the dark.
-
Zipper with anti-snag zipper and lined robust webbing: This makes the zipper even easier to operate without pinching the outer fabric.
-
Zipper with lined zipper cover: so that heat cannot escape and no cold bridges are created.
-
Foot ventilation system: The innovative zipper design allows your feet to be comfortably placed on top of the sleeping bag and excess heat can escape.
-
Pre-shaped foot box: when lying down there is enough space in the sleeping bag to point your toes.
-
Feater loops: A warming hip bag with heating element (Feater - The Feet Heater) can be installed additionally.
-
Chamber construction: H-chambers, V-shaped (on the top), pre-shaped foot area with several chambers
-
Scope of delivery: sleeping bag, compression bag, storage bag.

WHAT IS DOWNWOOL®?
The special feature of this sleeping bag is its innovative insulation: In a DownWool® sleeping bag, you immediately feel the wide comfort temperature range where you are neither too cold nor too warm. In addition, the insulation is naturally more resistant to high humidity.
This is achieved through a mechanical blend of 70% animal-welfare-certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps. This patented combination acts like a light and natural air conditioner.
Down: excellent insulation performance
High-quality down insulates exceptionally well at a low weight. However, down clumps up in high humidity (air, sweat, condensation) and loses its insulating properties. Grüezi bag solves this problem with the innovative DownWool® insulation.
Wool: effective moisture and temperature regulation
Thanks to the addition of wool in DownWool®, the down stays naturally drier and thus retains its insulating effect. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture through its capillaries and slowly release it to the outside.
DownWool® remains insulating even at humidity levels up to 90%. Wool fibers expand when moist and increase loft by up to 30%, further improving insulation.
DownWool® not only effectively regulates moisture but also body temperature. Wool prevents evaporative chill and retains its warming properties even when damp—something no other material can do. It creates a pleasant microclimate thanks to its unique climate-balancing properties.
The body needs a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process with its excellent temperature-balancing abilities.
Wool also neutralizes unpleasant odors.
The result: excellent insulation and a wide comfort temperature range in which you feel good and sleep well. Plus, DownWool® is less sensitive to moisture. That makes DownWool® sleeping bags from Grüezi bag® popular all-rounders.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Washing
- The washing instructions are in the inner pocket of the sleeping bag.
- The sleeping bag can be washed with down detergent by hand or in the washing machine (wool cycle) at max. 30 °C / 86 °F. Turn inside out, close the zipper, run an extra rinse cycle, and do not use fabric softener.
- Remove from the machine, fluff slightly, and spin again at max. 600 rpm.
Drying
- Dry in a tumble dryer at max. 60 °C / 140 °F and be sure to add 2–3 tennis balls to help fluff it up.
- Repeat drying cycles several times. After each cycle, remove from the dryer, shake and fluff thoroughly, and allow to cool between cycles.
- The dryer must be set to a timed program to ensure the down dries completely.
- If not using a dryer, place the sleeping bag on a drying rack on sunny days and shake it frequently to allow air to circulate from all sides.
When is drying complete?
If the bag has not regained its original loft, repeat the drying cycles until it feels fuller than before.
Depending on the outer material’s water resistance, drying may take a minimum of 2 days (depending on dryer model).
The down must be completely dry. If not properly dried and fluffed, the down may clump and irreversibly damage the sleeping bag.
A fully dry sleeping bag feels puffier and thicker than before. Damp down may smell unpleasant, but this disappears once dry.
TIP
- Down sleeping bags should occasionally—or after every trip—be dried with tennis balls in the dryer to remove residual moisture.
- Store sleeping bags loosely and dry in the storage sack.
When packing into the compression sack, stuff the bag starting from the foot section—do not roll or fold.
- Airing is better than washing. DownWool® sleeping bags rarely need washing because wool naturally resists odor and dirt. For small surface stains, gently clean just the spot. For greasy or heavily soiled bags, machine washing is acceptable.
- Always use a sleeping mat underneath, as insulation gets compressed underneath you and cannot trap air—and therefore heat—there. You can find more info on the right sleeping mat here.
