Grüezi bag® sleeping bags offer the best sleeping comfort and functionality
Grüezi bag sleeping bags have received numerous awards for their excellent insulation and well-thought-out designs.

DownWool® - the better down: Unlike conventional down, DownWool® retains its insulating properties even in high humidity of up to 90%. This means DownWool® offers better thermal performance, even in cold, wet conditions.
-
Wider temperature range: DownWool® sleeping bags have a wider temperature range in which you feel comfortable. Wool balances out temperature fluctuations.
-
Drier sleeping environment: The blend of 70% animal welfare-certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps in DownWool® sleeping bags creates a dry, balanced sleeping environment. Wool effectively wicks away moisture and provides warmth even when damp.
-
Best sleep quality: longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night, all thanks to the wool content in the DownWool® insulation filling
-
Well-thought-out cut for optimal freedom of movement: The comfortable cut allows the body to assume a relaxed position, ensuring a peaceful, restful sleep. Even in the mummy shape, you can sleep more soundly, as you can turn around both on your side with your leg bent and within the sleeping bag.
-
Avoidance of cold bridges: Our slightly wider cut reduces unpleasant cold bridges caused by compressed insulation
-
Lightweight and small pack size: ultra-light, robust and recycled materials save weight .
-
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification: Grüezi bag® products are harmless to human health.
FEATURES
-
Pillow compartment: If you slide a fleece jacket, for example, into the pillow compartment, the sleeping bag has a non-slip pillow.
-
Adjustable hood with face baffle: The thermal baffle adapts perfectly to the shape of your head. When it's cold, only a small face hole remains open, thus reducing heat loss from the face.
-
3D thermal collar: Closes automatically in the zipper area, so there is no cold bridge in the zipper area.
-
Drawstring pocket: To ensure that the drawstring on the thermal collar does not get in the way, it is safely stored in a simple drawstring pocket.
-
Inside & outside pocket: For valuables and things you prefer to keep close to you.
-
Zipper
-
Two-way auto-lock zipper: The zipper can be opened and closed from either end, inside or outside. The auto-lock prevents it from opening accidentally.
-
White zipper: So you can find the zipper more easily in the dark.
-
Zipper with anti-snag zipper and lined robust webbing: This makes the zipper even easier to operate without pinching the outer fabric.
-
Zipper with lined zipper cover: so that heat cannot escape and no cold bridges are created.
-
Foot ventilation system: The innovative zipper design allows your feet to be comfortably placed on top of the sleeping bag and excess heat can escape.
-
Pre-shaped foot box: when lying down there is enough space in the sleeping bag to point your toes.
-
Feater loops: A warming hip bag with heating element (Feater - The Feet Heater) can be installed additionally.
-
Chamber construction: H-chambers, V-shaped (on the top), pre-shaped foot area with several chambers
-
Scope of delivery: sleeping bag, compression bag, storage bag.

WHAT IS DOWNWOOL®?
The special feature of this sleeping bag is its innovative insulation: in a DownWool® sleeping bag, you immediately feel the wide temperature comfort range where it’s neither too cold nor too warm. Additionally, the insulation is naturally more resistant to high humidity.
This is achieved through the mechanical bonding of 70% animal-welfare-certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps. This combination is patented and works like a light and natural air conditioner.
Down: excellent insulation performance
High-quality down insulates exceptionally well at low weight. However, down clumps in high humidity (air, sweat, condensation) and loses its insulating properties. Grüezi bag solves this problem with the innovative DownWool® insulation.
Wool: effective moisture and temperature regulation
Thanks to the addition of wool in DownWool®, the down stays naturally drier and thus retains its insulating effect. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture through its capillaries and releases it gradually outward. DownWool® remains insulating at humidity levels up to 90%. The wool fibers stand up when moist and even increase the insulation loft by up to 30%, further improving the sleeping bag’s insulation. DownWool® effectively regulates not only moisture but also body temperature. Wool prevents chilling evaporation and retains its warming properties even when wet, which no other material can do. Wool naturally creates a cozy and pleasant microclimate through its unique climate-regulating property. The body needs a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process thanks to its excellent temperature-regulating properties. Additionally, wool neutralizes unpleasant odors.
The result: excellent insulation and a wide temperature range in which you feel comfortable and sleep well. Moreover, DownWool® is less sensitive to moisture. This makes Grüezi bag’s DownWool® sleeping bags popular all-rounders.

CARE
Washing
- The washing instructions are located inside the sleeping bag’s inner pocket.
- The sleeping bag can be washed by hand with a down detergent at max. 30 °C / 86 °F or in the washing machine on the wool cycle. Please turn the sleeping bag inside out, close the zipper, run an additional rinse cycle, and do not use fabric softener.
- Remove the sleeping bag from the machine, fluff it up a bit, and run an additional spin cycle at max. 600 rpm.
Drying
- Dry in a tumble dryer at max. 60 °C / 140 °F and add 2-3 tennis balls to help fluff it up.
- Please repeat drying cycles several times, removing the sleeping bag after each cycle, shaking or fluffing it well, and letting it cool in between. The dryer must be set to a timed program to fully dry the down.
- If no dryer is used, place the sleeping bag on a drying rack on sunny days and shake frequently to allow air circulation from above and below.
When is drying complete?
If the sleeping bag still does not regain its original thickness, repeat drying cycles until it feels fuller than before. Depending on the water resistance of the outer material, drying times vary (minimum 2 days depending on the dryer model).
The down must be completely dry. If not dried and fluffed properly, down feathers can clump, irreparably damaging the sleeping bag. You can tell it’s fully dry when it feels fuller and thicker than before. Damp down may smell unpleasant, but the odor disappears after drying.
TIP
Down sleeping bags should be dried with tennis balls in the dryer occasionally or after every trip to remove excess moisture.
Sleeping bags must be stored open and dry in their storage bag.
When packing into a compression sack, stuff the sleeping bag with the foot end first, do not roll or fold it.
Airing a sleeping bag is better than washing. DownWool® sleeping bags need washing only rarely, as wool naturally has odor-inhibiting and dirt-repelling properties. For small surface stains, gently clean only the spot; greasy or heavily soiled sleeping bags can be machine washed.
Every sleeping bag should be used with a sleeping pad, as insulation compresses downward inside the bag and cannot store air and heat. More info on the right sleeping pad can be found here.
