Grüezi bag® sleeping bags offer the best sleeping comfort and functionality
Grüezi bag sleeping bags have received numerous awards for their excellent insulation and well-thought-out designs.
- DownWool® - the better down: Unlike conventional down, DownWool® retains its insulating properties even in high humidity of up to 90%. This means DownWool® offers better thermal performance, even in cold, wet conditions.
- Wider temperature range: DownWool® sleeping bags have a wider temperature range where you feel comfortable. Wool balances temperature fluctuations like a light natural air conditioner.
- Drier sleeping environment: The blend of 70% animal welfare-certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps in DownWool® sleeping bags creates a dry, balanced sleeping environment. Wool effectively wicks away moisture and provides warmth even when damp.
- Best sleep quality: Longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night, all thanks to the wool content in the DownWool® insulation filling
- Well-thought-out cut for optimal freedom of movement: The comfortable cut allows the body to assume a relaxed position, ensuring a peaceful, restful sleep. Even in the mummy shape, you can sleep more soundly, as you can turn around both on your side with your leg bent and within the sleeping bag.
- Avoidance of cold bridges: Our slightly wider cut reduces unpleasant cold bridges caused by compressed insulation
- Lightweight and small pack size: ultra-light, robust and recycled materials save weight .
- OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification: Grüezi bag® products are harmless to human health.
FEATURES
- Pillow compartment :If you put a fleece jacket, for example, in the pillow compartment, the sleeping bag has a non-slip pillow.

- Inside & outside pocket : For valuables and things you prefer to have close to you.
-
Zipper

- Zipper with lined zipper cover :so that heat cannot escape and no cold bridges are created.
- Foot ventilation system :The innovative zipper design allows your feet to be comfortably placed on top of the sleeping bag and excess heat can escape.
- Pre-shaped foot box: when lying down there is enough space in the sleeping bag to point your toes.

WHAT IS DOWNWOOL®?
The special feature of this sleeping bag is its innovative insulation. In a DownWool® sleeping bag, you immediately feel a wide comfort temperature range — not too cold, not too hot. The insulation is also naturally more resistant to high humidity.
This is achieved through a mechanical blend of 70% animal-welfare certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps. This unique combination is patent-pending and functions like a natural, lightweight climate control system.
Down: excellent insulation performance
High-quality down insulates extremely well at low weight. However, down tends to clump under high humidity (air, sweat, condensation), losing its insulating power. Grüezi bag solves this with the innovative DownWool® insulation.
Wool: effective moisture and temperature regulation
Thanks to the addition of wool in DownWool®, the down stays naturally drier and retains its insulating effect. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture through its capillaries and gradually release it outward.
DownWool® retains its insulating properties even in up to 90% humidity. When exposed to moisture, wool fibers expand and increase loft by up to 30%, further boosting insulation.
DownWool® not only regulates moisture effectively but also body temperature. Wool prevents cooling from evaporation and maintains warmth even when damp — something no other material can do. It creates a naturally cozy microclimate thanks to its unique climate-balancing properties.
The body uses a lot of energy to regulate its temperature — wool supports this process due to its excellent thermoregulating qualities.
Wool also naturally neutralizes unpleasant odors.
The result: excellent insulation and a wide temperature comfort zone, helping you sleep well and feel comfortable. DownWool® is also more resilient in humid conditions, making DownWool® sleeping bags from Grüezi bag® popular all-rounders.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Washing
Washing instructions can be found in the sleeping bag’s inner pocket.
- The sleeping bag can be washed by hand or in the washing machine on a wool cycle at max. 30 °C / 86 °F using a down-specific detergent. Turn it inside out, close the zipper, run an extra rinse cycle, and do not use fabric softener.
- Remove the item, loosen it up, and run another spin cycle at max. 600 RPM.
Drying
Dry in a tumble dryer at max. 60 °C / 140 °F with 2–3 tennis balls to loosen the filling.
Repeat drying cycles several times. After each round, remove the item, shake it out, and let it cool down before continuing.
Use a time-based program to ensure the down dries completely.
If not using a dryer, lay the sleeping bag out in the sun on a drying rack and shake it frequently so air circulates both top and bottom.
When is the drying process complete?
If the sleeping bag still doesn't feel as thick as before, repeat drying until it feels fuller than before.
Drying time varies depending on the outer material’s water resistance (at least 2 days, possibly longer depending on dryer type).
Down must be fully dried. If not dried and fluffed properly, it may clump and become irreparably damaged.
You'll know it’s dry when it feels plump and full. Damp down can smell musty, but the smell disappears once fully dried.
TIP
- Down sleeping bags should occasionally (or after every trip) be tumble-dried with tennis balls to remove excess moisture.
- Store sleeping bags open and dry in the storage sack.
When packing into the compression sack, stuff from the foot end — don’t roll or fold.
- Better than washing is airing out the sleeping bag. DownWool® sleeping bags rarely need washing since wool naturally resists odor and dirt. Spot clean small stains gently, and wash only when heavily soiled.
- Always use a sleeping pad — insulation under the sleeping bag gets compressed and can’t trap heat or air. You can find more information about the right sleeping pad here.
COMPATIBLE ACCESSORIES
