Grüezi bag® sleeping bags offer the best sleeping comfort and functionality
Grüezi bag sleeping bags have received numerous awards for their excellent insulation and well-thought-out designs.
- DownWool® - the better down: Unlike conventional down, DownWool® retains its insulating properties even in high humidity of up to 90%. This means DownWool® offers better thermal performance, even in cold, wet conditions.
- Wider temperature range: DownWool® sleeping bags have a wider temperature range where you feel comfortable. Wool balances temperature fluctuations like a light natural air conditioner.
- Drier sleeping environment: The blend of 70% animal welfare-certified down (RDS-certified) and 30% wool from the Alps in DownWool® sleeping bags creates a dry, balanced sleeping environment. Wool effectively wicks away moisture and provides warmth even when damp.
- Best sleep quality: longer sleep, faster falling asleep and better sleep through the night, all thanks to the wool content in the DownWool® insulation filling
- Well-thought-out cut for optimal freedom of movement: The comfortable cut allows the body to assume a relaxed position, ensuring a peaceful, restful sleep. Even in the mummy shape, you can sleep more soundly, as you can turn around both on your side with your leg bent and within the sleeping bag.
- Avoidance of cold bridges: Our slightly wider cut reduces unpleasant cold bridges caused by compressed insulation
- Lightweight and small pack size: ultra-light, robust and recycled materials save weight .
- OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification: Grüezi bag® products are harmless to human health.
FEATURES
- Pillow compartment : If you put a fleece jacket, for example, in the pillow compartment, the sleeping bag has a non-slip pillow.
- Adjustable hood with face baffle : The thermal baffle adapts perfectly to the shape of your head. When it's cold, only a small face hole remains open, thus reducing heat loss.
- Small thermal collar: closes automatically in the zipper area, so that no cold bridge is created in the zipper area.
- Inside & outside pocket : For valuables and things you prefer to have close to you.
-
Zipper
- Two-way auto-lock zipper : The zipper can be opened and closed from either end, inside or outside. The auto-lock prevents it from opening accidentally.
- White zipper : So that you can find the zipper more easily in the dark.
- Zipper with anti-snag zipper and sturdy webbing underneath : This makes the zipper even easier to operate without pinching the outer fabric.
- Zipper with lined zipper cover : So that heat cannot escape and no cold bridges are created.
- Foot ventilation system : The innovative zipper design allows your feet to be comfortably placed on top of the sleeping bag and excess heat can escape.
- Pre-shaped foot box: when lying down there is enough space in the sleeping bag to point your toes.
- Feater loops : A warming hip bag with heating element (Feater - The Feet Heater) can be installed additionally.
- Chamber construction : H-chambers, V-shaped (on the top), pre-shaped foot area with several chambers
- Scope of delivery : sleeping bag, compression bag, storage bag.

WHAT IS DOWNWOOL®?
The special feature of this sleeping bag is its innovative insulation: in a DownWool® sleeping bag, you immediately feel the wide temperature comfort range, where you're neither too cold nor too warm. In addition, the insulation is naturally more resistant to high humidity.
This is achieved through a mechanical blend of 70% RDS-certified down and 30% wool from the Alps. This combination is patent-pending and acts like a lightweight natural climate control system.
Down: excellent insulation performance
High-quality down insulates exceptionally well at low weight. However, down clumps when exposed to high humidity (air, sweat, condensation) and loses its insulating properties. Grüezi bag solves this problem with the innovative DownWool® insulation.
Wool: effective moisture and temperature regulation
Thanks to the added wool in DownWool®, the down stays naturally drier and retains its insulating effect. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture through its capillaries and gradually release it outward.
DownWool® continues to insulate even at humidity levels up to 90%. Wool fibers expand when damp and can increase the loft by up to 30%, improving insulation even more.
DownWool® not only regulates moisture effectively but also body temperature. Wool prevents cooling through evaporation and retains its warmth even when damp—something no other material can do. It naturally creates a comfortable microclimate through its unique temperature-balancing properties.
The body uses a lot of energy to regulate its temperature. Wool supports this process with its outstanding thermoregulating abilities.
Wool also neutralizes unpleasant odors.
The result: excellent insulation and a wide comfort temperature range so you can sleep well and feel great. DownWool® is also more resistant to moisture, making DownWool® sleeping bags from Grüezi bag® popular all-rounders.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Washing
The washing instructions are located in the inside pocket of the sleeping bag.
- The sleeping bag can be washed by hand or on a wool cycle in the washing machine at max. 30°C / 86°F using a down detergent. Please turn inside out, close the zipper, run an extra rinse cycle, and do not use fabric softener.
- Remove from the machine, gently shake out, and run an additional spin cycle at max. 600 rpm.
-
Drying
Dry in a tumble dryer at max. 60°C / 140°F and be sure to add 2–3 tennis balls to help fluff the down.
- Repeat the drying cycle several times, removing the sleeping bag between cycles to shake and fluff it up, letting it cool down in between.
Use a timed drying program to ensure the down is completely dry.
- If no dryer is available, the sleeping bag can be laid out on a drying rack in the sun and shaken frequently to allow air to circulate from above and below.
When is drying complete?
- If the bag still doesn’t feel as full as it used to, the drying cycles must be repeated until it feels fluffier and fuller than before.
- Depending on how waterproof the outer material is, drying can take a long time (at least 2 days, depending on the dryer model).
- The down must be completely dry. If the sleeping bag is not properly dried and fluffed, the down feathers may clump and cause permanent damage.
- A fully dried bag will feel fuller and thicker than before. Damp down may have a musty odor, but that will disappear after thorough drying.
TIP
- Down sleeping bags should be dried with tennis balls in a dryer from time to time or after each trip to remove excess moisture.
- Sleeping bags must be stored open and dry in the storage sack.
- When packing into the compression sack, always stuff it in foot-first—do not roll or fold.
- Ventilating is better than washing. DownWool® sleeping bags rarely need washing since wool naturally resists odors and dirt. For minor stains, gently spot-clean only.
- If heavily soiled, wash in the machine as described.
- Always use a sleeping pad underneath the sleeping bag, since the insulation beneath your body compresses and can't retain heat or air. More info on the right sleeping pad can be found here.
